5 марта 2019
February 28 – March 2, 2017 in Moscow, at the exhibition center "Expocentre" held 21st All-Russian Conference on Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics.
The conference began its history in Leningrad in 1956, at that time the organizer of the event was the Soviet Society for Non-Destructive Testing, the successor to which later became the Russian Society for Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics. The Conference held once every three years for the past sixty years, during which the platform for its holding became various large cities of the USSR and the Russian Federation: Kiev, Lvov Minsk, Chisinau, Sverdlovsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Samara and Nizhny Novgorod. In 2014, it was decided to hold the All-Russian Conference on Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics in Moscow on a permanent basis.
During its existence, the Conference acquired the status of the largest and most anticipated scientific event in the field of non-destructive testing, the participants of which are experts, scientists, developers, practitioners from many countries. The event allows you to demonstrate the latest achievements and scientific discoveries in the field of technogenic, anti-terrorism and environmental diagnostics and safety.
In 2017, the 21st All-Russian Conference on Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics opened with plenary meetings, where the main subject of discussion was issues related to the use of new materials and toughening requirements for monitoring and operating conditions of objects, determining the main trends and prospects for the development of new methods and technologies as well as a discussion of the problems in the field of monitoring and diagnostics that society will face in the near future.
Speakers at the plenary sessions were leading scientists:

  Topic of report
S. L. Chernyshov, RAS Academician    Non-destructive testing methods for advanced aircraft structures
Yu.I. Buziashvili, RAS Academician S.T. Matskeplishvili, RAS Corresponding Member

From February 28 to March 2, the conference brought together 114 participants from foreign countries (Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Kazakhstan) and various regions of our country.
The speakers agreed that the All-Russian Conference on NK and TD is an important event, providing its participants with a unique opportunity to exchange scientific knowledge, get acquainted with the latest research, get an impetus for further development and improvement of non-destructive testing methods. It was noted that the undoubted advantage of the event is “live” communication with colleagues, the opportunity to ask a question and get a detailed answer to it at the same moment. Also, participants, many of whom come to the Conference from the 70s - 80s, positively commented on the fact that the number of youth speaking at the event is constantly growing.

During the conference, more than 100 reports were heard in the following sections:
  • Acoustic emission
  • Acoustic methods NK and TD
  • Vibrodiagnostics
  • Magnetic and electromagnetic methods of NK and TD
  • NK and TD methods in assessing technological safety
  • Training, certification and certification
  • Optical, thermal, microwave methods of NK and TD
  • Radiation methods NK and TD
